8x Dialer Privacy Policy

Version: 2026-10-22

1. About this policy

The 8x Dialer is calling software that 8x Social, Inc. ("8x", "we"), a Delaware corporation at 1111B S Governors Ave STE 47647, Dover, DE 19904, United States, sells to businesses (our "clients"), whose own sales reps use it to call people at other businesses.

This policy explains how personal data is handled in the 8x Dialer:

  • section 2 is for people a client's reps call;
  • section 3 is for the people at a client who use the 8x Dialer.

When 8x's own reps call you, for 8x or for a brand 8x works with, the Prospect Privacy Notice applies instead.

2. If a business called you using the 8x Dialer

Who is responsible

The business that called you decides why and how your data is used: it is responsible for it (its controller). 8x processes your data for that business, as its service provider, under a data processing agreement. For most requests, contact the business that called you; you can also contact 8x (below).

What data is involved

  • From the business: the details it holds about you as a lead, such as your name, job title, company, business phone number, business email address and a profile link.
  • From the call: the recording of the call, its transcript, and what the business's AI features made from it: a summary, a score and any flags.
  • From the business's reps: notes about the call, its outcome, and any meeting you booked.
  • From a meeting you joined: if you join a meeting booked through the 8x Dialer on Google Meet, the name you joined under (a partly hidden phone number if you joined by phone), whether you were signed in to Google (and if so your Google account id), when you joined and left, and whether 8x recognised you, for example as someone on the invitation. For a meeting on 8x's own calendar, it also includes your email address if you were signed in to Google.

What it is used for

  • For the business: to place and record its calls, transcribe them, summarise and score them for its own coaching, book meetings with you, and keep its call history.
  • Who joined a meeting: 8x reads who joined the meetings it books, to confirm they were held. 8x never reads a meeting it did not book. From the meetings it books it reads only who joined: it never records them, and never reads their recording, transcript or chat from Google.
  • By 8x, to run the 8x Dialer: 8x reviews calls for quality and compliance. 8x reviews content, such as calls and transcripts, to provide, evaluate and improve the 8x Dialer, reading it where it is stored. 8x checks numbers against the US National Do Not Call Registry and the do-not-contact lists before each call, keeps a record of each call placed, and answers complaints.

8x never sells your data, never trains AI models on it, and never uses one business's data for another.

How long it is kept

WhatKept
Call recordings90 days
Transcripts12 months
Notes, outcomes, summaries, scores, and who joined a meetingWhile the business is an 8x client
A record of each call placed (the numbers, the time and the length, with no recording or content)4 years after the business's data is deleted
A request not to be calledAs long as needed to keep honouring it

When a business stops being an 8x client, 8x deletes its data 14 days after its account closes.

Your choices

  • Ask not to be called. Say so on the call: the rep marks you Do not call, and that business never calls you again through the 8x Dialer.
  • Ask for your data to be erased. Ask the business that called you, or write to privacy@8x.social. 8x passes your request within 2 business days to every business that holds your data in the 8x Dialer. After an erasure, a business keeps only a scrambled (hashed) copy of your phone numbers and email address, so it can't import you again.
  • Other rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct or delete your data, or to object to its use. Ask the business that called you, or 8x, and we will help.

3. If you use the 8x Dialer at a client

This section is for Owners, Managers and Reps at a client. 8x is responsible for your account data.

  • Your account: your name, work email address, role, how you sign in, and when you accepted 8x's terms and agreements, with the IP address and browser you used, and, if you are an Owner, each time you switched automatic top-up on, changed it or switched it off, with its settings and the version of the terms you saw.
  • Your calls: your calls through the 8x Dialer, including practice calls, are recorded, transcribed and scored. Your business's Owners and Managers can see and hear your calls, and 8x reviews calls as section 2 says.
  • Meetings you host: 8x reads who joined the meetings it books into your calendar, to confirm they were held, once you agree to this when you connect your Google Calendar. It does the same, under your business's agreement with 8x, for the meetings 8x books for you on its own calendar. Your own name and when you joined and left are part of it.
  • Your chat with 8x: what you write to 8x in the 8x Dialer, with your name, is copied to 8x's own Slack workspace, where 8x's staff read it and answer.
  • How you use the 8x Dialer: 8x keeps logs of what happens in your account, and measures how people use the 8x Dialer with product analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies (see the Cookie Notice).

8x uses this data to give you your account, keep it secure, run and improve the 8x Dialer, and meet its legal duties. Your account is deleted when your business's data is deleted, unless you also belong to another client. To ask about your data, write to privacy@8x.social.

4. Who else receives the data

8x uses service providers (subprocessors) to run the 8x Dialer, listed in the 8x Dialer Data Processing Agreement. They store data in the United States, apart from product analytics, which are stored in the European Union, and 8x's own Google Workspace, which Google may store wherever it keeps data centres. 8x may also disclose data where the law requires it.

5. Changes and contact

8x may change this policy; the version date is at the top.
