8x Dialer Acceptable Use Policy

Version: 2026-10-21

1. Who this policy binds

This policy says how a business that uses the 8x Dialer (the "client", "you") and everyone who uses its account may call. It is part of your agreement with 8x Social, Inc. ("8x") under the 8x Dialer Customer Terms. Everyone who dials for you also accepts the 8x Dialer Conduct Agreement, which puts the rules of section 4 in a few lines.

The people you call did not ask to be called. How your people treat them is how 8x, its telephony provider and the carriers judge you.

2. Who may use the 8x Dialer

  1. Businesses only, calling for themselves. You call only to sell your own business's products or services. You do not call for another business, as an agency or otherwise.
  2. Calling businesses only. You call people at businesses, about their business. You never call consumers at home.
  3. Uses 8x declines. You never use the 8x Dialer for debt collection, recruiting, surveys, political calling or charity calling, or for any use case 8x declined when it reviewed your application.

3. Your leads

  1. Only leads you have the right to call. You import only lists you have the right to call, with a lawful basis, under the terms of the source you got them from. You confirm this each time you import.
  2. Only what the call needs. You never enter sensitive data (health, race, religion, sexual life, political views, biometric data or financial account details) in a note or any other field. Notes are short and about the business.
  3. Only for your own calling. You use the leads and calls in the 8x Dialer only for your own business's calling, and never sell or share them with anyone else.

4. On every call

Your people must:

  1. Name the business truthfully. Say who they are, the business they call for, and why they are calling. Never hide or disguise who is calling.
  2. Give the recording notice. Every US call is recorded. Your script carries the recording notice in its opener, and your people say it on every call, as the script directs.
  3. Stop when asked. The moment someone says, in any words, that they do not want to be called, your people stop the pitch, confirm they will not call again, end the call and mark the lead Do not call. Never argue with the request or treat it as an objection to overcome. A person marked Do not call is never called again, by anyone at your business, on any campaign.
  4. Record outcomes honestly. Mark every call's outcome truthfully, including Do not call and Wrong number, because the do-not-contact lists depend on it.

Your people must not:

  1. Mislead. Never make a false or misleading statement about who is calling, your business, your product, its price or why you are calling. This applies even where a telemarketing law exempts calls to businesses.
  2. Harass. Never threaten, abuse or pressure anyone, or keep calling someone who asked you to stop.
  3. Call anyone on a do-not-contact list. The 8x Dialer never calls a number on your do-not-contact list, 8x's do-not-contact list, or, for a US number, the National Do Not Call Registry. Never try to reach those people another way through the 8x Dialer.

5. The dialer's guards

The 8x Dialer enforces guards you cannot turn off: business hours (Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:59 in the prospect's time zone), both do-not-contact lists, US registry screening, the abandoned-call cap, the line limits, the daily caps, and the recording notice in your script. You and your people must not:

  1. try to evade, disable or work around any guard, a warning, a throttle or a suspension;
  2. call from any number other than the ones 8x provides, or show another caller ID;
  3. place calls with scripts, bots or any automation outside the 8x Dialer's own controls; or
  4. give anyone outside your business access to your account.

6. Complaints and tracebacks

When 8x asks you about a complaint or a traceback of one of your calls, you answer within one business day, with the records 8x asks for. You keep what you need to answer: who called, when, and why that person was on your list.

7. You are responsible for your people

You are responsible for everyone who uses your account and for what they do with it. You train your people on this policy, make sure everyone who dials has accepted the conduct agreement, and act when one of them breaks it. A breach by one of your people is a breach by you.

8. What happens on a breach

8x enforces this policy through the steps of the 8x Dialer Customer Terms, section 10: warn, throttle, suspend and close. 8x chooses the step a breach calls for and may skip straight to suspending or closing your account for a serious breach, such as calling someone after a Do not call, misleading the people you call, or evading a guard. A close for a breach refunds nothing.

9. Changes and questions

8x may change this policy; the version date is at the top, and 8x tells your Owners before a material change takes effect. Ask before you act if you are unsure whether something is allowed.
